Welcome to PlantMD ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
PlantMD is a mobile application that helps you identify plant diseases from photos, offers treatment advice and product recommendations, provides weather-based watering reminders, and hosts a community where users can ask "save or toss" questions about their plants.
PlantMD provides informational content only. It is not a substitute for professional agronomy, horticulture, or pest-control advice. Product recommendations are general suggestions; always read and follow the manufacturer's label. You use the App at your own risk and are solely responsible for your plant-care decisions and any purchases you make.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
You may use the App with an anonymous account. You are responsible for activity on your device. You agree not to attempt to access another user's data or disrupt the service.
You are responsible for the photos, text, and comments you post in the community. You grant PlantMD a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content within the App for the purpose of operating the community. You agree not to post:
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
You agree not to: reverse engineer the App; scrape or misuse APIs; attempt to exceed rate limits (including PlantNet's daily identification quota); or use the App to diagnose plants of others for commercial gain without permission.
PlantMD's name, logo, interface, and content (excluding user posts and third-party product links) are owned by PlantMD. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.
The App links to third-party products (e.g., Amazon). We are not responsible for those sites' content, availability, or prices. Purchasing from such links is between you and the seller.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACCURACY OF DIAGNOSES OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANTMD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in California.
